Through the RasPRAVA project, we have recognized the need for more active involvement of young people in decision-making processes, especially in matters that directly concern them. Young people are experts in their own lives; they understand their own needs best, the challenges they face, and how to improve the current situation. However, their ideas often do not reach decision-makers because there is often no space or mechanisms for actively involving young people in decision-making. Even when there is political will to involve young people in the process, there is a lack of knowledge on how to do so and then act in accordance with the results obtained. Therefore, it is necessary to establish "bridges" between young people and decision-makers. To actively involve young people, we need to inform them about their rights, provide a common space for exploration, discussion, and dialogue on issues important to them (in this case, social rights), and above all, strengthen the capacities of workers with young people to adequately respond to their needs. The role of working with young people is to "provide spaces and build bridges" between young people and the community in which they live. Empowered workers with young people at the local level also mean increased access to rights for young people. Through dialogue with decision-makers, we will jointly achieve more inclusive policies for young people at the local level and positively influence access to rights for all young people. Therefore, the aim of this project is to empower young people to actively participate in a dialogue on social rights at the local level, with specific objectives including empowering young leaders to work with young people, creating space for connecting young people and decision-makers, and making recommendations for more inclusive local policies for young people. We have fully achieved our goals.
