The University of Rijeka is a modern European university, a centre of excellence, a research and education-oriented university that supports social and economic development in our community. To date, 2660 students and 1100 staff have participated in Erasmus. UNIRI hosted more than 3000 incoming students and 1100 staff members. The University signed 800 Erasmus agreements with partner universities. UNIRI has anchored its quest for internationalisation in its strategic plans, highlighting the strategic goals of enrolling more international students, offering more foreign language study programmes, increasing the mobility of academic staff, expanding cooperation with international institutions, promoting international activities. The strategy states that access to education, ensuring equal opportunities for all, serving disadvantaged and underrepresented groups, promoting diversity and the inclusion and dignity of every person are fundamental principles that, alongside academic integrity and public accountability, improve the quality of research and education and contribute to equity in society.
