The project implemented an innovative online training - Essentials Skills Program in the field of most wanted soft skills on the labour market, which resulted with the public awareness of the importance of soft skills education at the local, regional and European level. It was also provided an innovative learning opportunity about soft skills to target groups (unemployed and employed persons, participants of other partner education programs and teachers in adult education) and carried out an analysis of the target groups with the aim of measuring the level of existing knowledge before and acquired skills after the training and the quality of the developed training. The implementation of the training contributed to the development of flexible learning offers adapted to the educational needs of adults, as well as to the goal of providing education in a digital environment. In this way, the developed program will be included in the education offer of the partners after the project so that other individuals can be empowered in soft skills.
SOS4JOB is a continuation of partnership from Erasmus+ project ASPIRE, in which research and testing of feasibility of implementing Essential Skills Program in Europe was carried out to increase accessibility for different target groups with the aim of creating better learning opportunities that match the needs of different workplaces. In that project employers and employees saw the value of applying soft skills in the workplace and they greatly contribute to productivity of every organization, while the unemployed/employed (tested one ESP module) stated they wanted education with multiple tasks, but on Croatian and Dutch. Considering that there is no structured education in soft skills in Croatia and Netherlands, it was necessary to adapt ESP for European market by developing additional digital workbooks, implement soft skills training in three languages and make a comparative analysis of situation before and after training. The implementation of ESP resulted with public awareness of importance of soft skills, provided an innovative opportunity to learn about soft skills, contribution to development of flexible learning offers adapted to educational needs of adults and aim of providing education in a digital environment.
