By implementing this project, we aimed to move towards a more circular economy by promoting community-led reuse practices. We wanted to develop a joint approach for organizations working in reuse, helping them understand their role in wider environmental efforts and giving them a clear vision for creating a bigger social impact.
We applied for this project to tackle the major environmental impacts of our current linear economy and help move towards a circular economy. We focused on the need for community reuse activities, which not only reduce waste but also strengthen local communities by offering sustainability services and developing new skills for adults, including those from marginalized groups. This project helped us grow more strategically and gave us a clear plan to achieve a greater social impact as a group of organizations working on reuse.
