Objectives

Our goal was for the leadership of our organization and our professionals working with adults to gain insight into the adult education programs of other civil organizations. We aimed to establish connections with foreign organizations operating in a similar field, gather ideas on how to involve the adult population in lifelong learning through non-formal methods, and contribute to the reemployment of undereducated or persistently unemployed groups. We also sought to equip our adult instructors with skills that would enable them to develop soft skills for these groups, enhancing their chances of better employment. Significant progress is needed in reaching NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) youth, as there are many such individuals in the surrounding rural areas, and reaching them and finding programs to attract them is challenging. We looked for examples from other organizations in this regard. It was important for us to cultivate as many young individuals growing up with us as possible to become educators, helpers, and volunteers in our programs. These individuals would reach and understand the needs of these less fortunate young people.

Background

Initially, we focused on talent development for elementary school children. However, recognizing the needs of the community based on incoming requests, our services have continuously expanded. We strive to provide a non-formal learning environment for both the younger and adult generations. Over time, we have encountered many individuals with changed abilities who cannot travel to larger cities to find work or supplementary income. Consequently, collaboration with them became necessary. Our organization has evolved into an accredited institution for youth, adult education, and rehabilitation. Alongside the growing demands, the continuous development of our instructors, supportive staff, and volunteer team has become essential. For this reason, we found it necessary for our professionals to gain international experience in the field of adult education and adult learning. This involves observing methods and educational opportunities offered in other countries. It is important for us to be able to respond appropriately to current needs.
