We wanted to improve the methodological skills of our staff in order to be able to serve our students better: making them more motivated to learn, achieve higher school-leaving results, support them in developing skills needed in their future careers and as active and responsible citizens of their society.
We are a high-school with a four and a six-year programme. We have been operating for 30 years, this year with 500 students. Most of our graduates go on to university. We have an outstanding foreign language and science education. Our learners are between the ages of 12 and 19, and are almost exclusively Hungarians from Pest county. They are high achievers and come from stable socio-economic backgrounds, yet, being teenagers in the 21st century, they have the typical struggles of those of their contemporaries anywhere. We have an increasing number of cases of learning disabilities as well as social problems. We also attempt to develop the various talents of students, their creativity, and try to prepare them for becoming a professional.
