Our goal for teachers was to get to know and experience methodological innovations in an intensive,concentrated form and to refresh their knowledge. Since the main goal of the institution is the development of staff competences,the dissemination of new teaching methods and tools,the development of language competences,the more professional help of students with disabilities and the expansion of the European dimension,we emphasized the acquisition of dynamically complementary methodological knowledge. Within this, alternative methods,forms of formal and informal education,digital and social media tools,environmental education and the incorporation of the European dimension played a role,which act as an important motivational force among students who are constantly looking for new stimuli. By expanding the methodological repertoire,we wanted to strengthen integrated education and the teaching of those requiring individual treatment (talent and handicap compensation),for which we defined 3 main goals. 1. Methodological renewal to increase efficiency and effectiveness 2. Stimulating and maintaining student motivation 3. Successful professional assistance for those who require individual treatment (those with disabilities and talented)
The school,opened in 1987,is located on the outskirts of the city,Pécs.The institution is attended by teenagers from the neighboring housing estates,children from other parts of the city,and from the surrounding villages.In our school,teaching of foreign languages,especially English,plays a prominent role. The needs of the "z" generation,school life after Covid and expectations encouraged the school management and colleagues to renew professionally. Since our primary goal is to strengthen student motivation and meet the needs of students and parents,we have planned trainings and courses covering the methodological approaches that most arouse and maintain student motivation,but are also in line with the requirements of local curriculum and professional needs of teachers and their stage of professional development.(general methodology course,drama pedagogy,gamification, games & natural sciences,digital language teaching,creative methods) The project contributed to the realization and strengthening of the aims of the school's pedagogical program,the support of mental health needs,the methodological renewal of the faculty,the expansion of our institution's international relations,which we hope will contribute to better student results
