The aim of the project was to give students an insight into the academic and practical education of the host institutions and to visit the companies and other institutions belonging to our placement partners. In the case of the students, we aimed to broaden their professional experience and deepen their academic knowledge in practice. In addition to updating and expanding language skills, a more confident use of foreign language skills was also a significant objective of the projects in all mobility programmes. For corporate partners, it was an important aspect to give students an insight into the workings of foreign institution or company. For the accompanying teachers, besides coordinating the students, the most important task was to strengthen existing professional relationships, deepen the new ones, gather inspiration and good practices, and catalyse the work of the school and incorporate the newly gained experience into education as widely as possible.
Even though our school, the Kossuth Zsuzsanna Technical School, University of Szeged has a history of 75 years, we have been affiliated to our current provider, the University of Szeged, for only 4 years. The number and qualifications of our instructors ensure the smooth running of the institution. The school’s vocational training network is diverse, with students choosing from creative, health care, health technology and social sector professions. The chosen courses can be completed within technical, vocational and adult training frameworks. In this project, we gave full-time nursing, massage therapy, dental technician, and fashion and style design students with the opportunity to participate in a 3–4-week internship abroad, where they can deepen and broaden their knowledge.
