Objectives

We are part of the Volkswagen Group with locations in Europe and worldwide. Due to the close cooperation between the individual sites, it is often the practice to change locations, consult professionally, cooperate and exchange experiences of employees. The aim of the project is also to promote the preparedness and development of our students as later employees. The international missions are carried out as projects, where after selection the participants realized the goals of the projects according to a specific program plan, through which they could develop the following competencies according to their training output requirements: cooperation in a foreign language, culture and economic environment with professional groups and individuals (either digital or attendant). The declared goal of corporate culture is to develop students in parallel with their professional competence development in social and cultural fields, to stand their ground in a different cultural environment, to integrate into foreign work environments and teams, and to get to know their traditions and customs. It is important that they share their experiences with their fellow students when they come home.

Background

The applicant organization is an automotive multinational corporation with approximately 12,000 employees. In dual vocational training, more than 200 students are employed in 4 professional groups with a VET employment contract. The company manufactures premium vehicles with state-of-the-art production technology, so our students can develop their theoretical, practical and social competencies in this operating environment. By operating a separate training centre, the company lays the foundations for dual training in 14 professions, which is complemented by the in-house training practice of students. The company has been engaged in dual vocational training for 22 years, with the active involvement of 5 partner schools. In an international company, the importance of cooperation in foreign languages and foreign languages is of paramount importance, which is why Erasmus projects greatly support the goals of training programmes in this regard. For some vocational qualifications, experience abroad is an integral part of the training programme.
