Objectives

Our area for development and our needs are now mainly related to IT vocational training. With the introduction of new IT qualifications (software developer, system administrator, network builder and telecommunications technician), we need new teaching and training methods and tools. The main objectives of the project have been aligned with the school objectives set out in our school's teaching programme. Our main areas for development are mainly related to IT training at student, teacher and institutional level. At student level: in addition to school education, we motivate and support our students through the mobility opportunities offered by these grants, and we wanted to improve their practical knowledge, motivation to learn, skills and professional, foreign language and personal competences. We have also achieved this through the feedback of our students. We have also achieved success at the teacher level, through their participation in a foreign language training course. We have also been able to improve our skills in the field of computer science.

Background

It is important for us to position our institution in an international context of professional training, beyond the domestic context. It is essential to be familiar with international curricula and to assess how the domestic curriculum and its content differ from that of foreign institutions. One of our guiding principles is to make it easier for our students to find a job and to encourage as many as possible to continue their studies and gain new qualifications. To develop our institution at European level, we need to give our students a European experience, so that they can increase their awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries, and develop a sense of European citizenship and identity. Developing the foreign language competence of our teachers is essential to meet the challenges of the modern world: to teach our students languages in an authentic way and to design practical training that is truly effective and language- and work-focused.
