With the implementation of the project, the Vásárhelyi Pál Foundation became active in the Erasmus+ system for the first time. But we intended to maintain the previous partnerships of the Vásárhelyi Pál Technical School and Dormitory, to expand internationalisation, to increase the number of students, the number of professions involved and to maintain the mobility of teachers. We wanted to activate our trainers and students from other technical professional areas. These objectives were to contribute to the professional and linguistic development and renewal of both students and teachers through the individual implementation of Erasmus+ mobility. The individual development is reflected in the work diaries and professional travel reports during the short-term mobility. By gaining professional experience in an international environment, our students' professional and linguistic skills have been strengthened, their confidence and communication skills in a foreign language have increased. They were able to get involved in other schools' learning system and in the life of companies. The project has made our students more environmentally aware and open to innovative knowledge through the practical testing of new technologies.
The base school of the foundation is the Vásárhelyi Pál Technical School and Dormitory of Békéscsaba SZC. The operating environment of the foundation is the school, whose students and teachers are supported by the Foundation. The Erasmus+ student mobility started in 2018 has been continued with the present application. We have succeeded in ensuring long-term continuity with two foreign partners for our students in civil engineering. This, has been extended with two new partners during the final implementation. On average, 85% of our students are studying to become civil engineering technicians, but this project also aimed to attract new professions and teachers. Not all of the existing partners during the period of the project delivered on their promises for various reasons, so a new partner from Portugal was brought in during the implementation and the Finnish school Sataedu was able to host another group of students. Teacher mobility was a particular focus of attention, as the teachers in the field of civil engineering had been waiting for this opportunity for a long time and the school had never had a professional programme of this type before. The programme provided mobility for 15 students, an increase of two and half times.
