Our basic objective was to expand on our previous projects, if possible. We sent 30 students on placements, up from 20 and 23 students respectively, and now we had four placements, including a placement site for the long-term Erasmus + Pro programme. In addition, changing our previous selection system, we picked our participants from the whole year group instead of choosing students only from our special language classes to achieve a fairer selection process and enhance a good sense of competitiveness. We wanted to provide our students with relevant work placements (in real companies); we also wanted to give them the opportunity to learn languages and to give them a cultural experience that is relevant to them beyond their professional life. As the European Parliament's Ambassador School, it was also important that our students should not only have a factual knowledge of the different countries of Europe, but also experience life in these countries for a shorter or longer period of time. And especially for the longer mobility, we wanted to use and extend our experience as an Energy Aware School, in addition to our clear professional-linguistic objectives.
Our school is part of the Győr Vocational Centre. We have a very good relationship with the organization which is running our school, and this also encouraged us to participate again in the project. We knew that the project finances would be settled, like pre-financing 20% of the project budget. In our two previous projects (2019, 2021) there were absolutely no problems of this sort. Furthermore, as a school of economics we gained so much positive experience that we wanted to run again this time. Last but not least, we did not only count on the support coming from our umbrella organisation but also that of the school management and of the whole staff. The school management was especially in favour of our renewed project as there are no opportunities for our students of Economics to have an internship In Hungary due to several restricting factors, like banking policies etc. Last but not least, we have a strong urge to be involved in several international partnerships as it helps us grow. We work with host partners who have proven themselves in our internships and with whom we would like to collaborate in other ways in the future.
