We intended to provide our students with useful experience gained in multinational environment, furthermore an opportunity to expand their professional knowledge, to make familiar with workplaces of an other country in the European Union, to develop their transversile digital skills and to improve their English with professional focus. Indirectly we also aimed at developing students' job-related and interpersonal skills, growing motivation towards their profession, thus supporting them in their future career. In case of our colleguages the main goal was for them to collect professional experience and new digital and methodological knowledge. Moreover, improving their English and refreshing their motivation to teaching, added by pleasant cultural experiences were expected as additional benefits. As a result of the project, we also expected the improvement of the general educational level in our school and to strenghten our position in recruiting new students.
The Belvárosi Technikum is a modern, innovative high vocational school belonging to the Budapesti Gazdasági Szakképzési Centrum (Economics VET Centre of Budapest) and offering 2 year long trainings to daytime students and 8-18 month-long courses to evening students. The organizations is maintained by the Ministry of Innovation and supported by national VET supporting offices: IKK and NSZFH. It cooperates with professional organizations, chambers, universities, the Budapest Examination Centre and several dual partners. The innovative efforts to renew the Hungarian vocational education, the new state Industry 4.0 strategy, added by the internationalization line in educational policy gave the background to the project.
