Széchenyi István University (SZE) places great emphasis on the development and strengthening of its international relations. The University continuously strives to enhance its global presence, as evidenced by its growing position in higher education rankings (our institution's position in the QS Europe 2025 ranking is #370) and increasing the number of international students and researchers. At present, the University hosts nearly 1,000 international students from 77 different countries. An important tool for the internationalisation of the University is the wide range of English-taught programmes, currently offering 42, including 5 Double Degree Programmes. These Double Degree Programmes are run in partnership with Institutions in China, India, Italy, the US and Portugal, giving students the opportunity to spend several semesters abroad and enrich their international experience. By increasing the number of English-taught Programmes, our aim is to further facilitate and enhance the mobility experience of incoming exchange students. The University (SZE) is committed to increasing the proportion of students who participate in exchage semester(s) for study or Traineeship purposes abroad. The Erasmus+ mobility programme plays a particularly important role in this effort, helping the University to achieve its internationalisation goals. The University places particular emphasis on the quality of education and services provided to incoming international students. The aim with the mobility programmes was also to provide support for academic and administrative staff in developing their skills, adapting new practices and expanding their professional network.
