Objectives

The Eszterházy Károly Catholic University (EKCU) recognized the growing interest in studying and the increasing demand for internship scholarships in recent years. As a result, EKCU applied for an 8% increase in the mobility budget compared to previous years and successfully secured funding for 30 SMS, 30 SMP, 20 STA, and 30 STT. Additionally, they requested 3 BIPs. To address the declining interest of students in studying abroad, EKCU identified several reasons for student withdrawals, including financial difficulties, uncertainty about recognition of learning outcomes, fear of exhausting state-funded scholarship time, concerns about losing jobs that support them or their families, and apprehension regarding credit recognition. To promote student mobility, the university committed to raising awareness among all educational faculties about credit recognition and planned to utilize a portion of the STT mobility and BIP to establish closer professional relationships with partner institutions. This effort aimed to coordinate course content and foster trust between institutions, ultimately enhancing the student experience.
