This year we implemented one youth exchange by young people for young people titled “Empowering the Next Generation of Young Entrepreneurs” and a training course for youth workers with the name “Mastering the Art of Entrepreneurship: From Idea to Launch”. Each lasted nine days, and resulted in significant skill development of the participants. The thematics of the educational activities were developed in line with the objectives set down in our accreditation. With the two types of activities we managed to connect to each of the three, namely: O1: Develop young people’s digital, entrepreneurial and green skills -The activities implemented aimed to raise the entrepreneurial skills of young people and the entrepreneurial education capacities of youth workers and their organisations so that they can spread it onward to their own local target group. The sessions were focusing on modern day-entrepreneurship, including digital and green solutions. O2: Create more opportunities for young people, students, youth workers at a local, regional, national, international level -Through the projects we were able to mobilise 66 individuals, 32 youth workers in the framework of a training course and 34 young people via youth exchange. The participants had the chance to forge connections with their peers from different countries around the European Union and beyond, to meet with individuals from the same region or country as them, to analyse regional differences and similarities, to establish glocal groups among themselves. The youth exchange underscored the opportunities at the international level, while the training course led to local follow-up projects and local impacts, strengthening the proliferation of those possibilities. O3: Promote EU values and the Program's priorities -We brought people together from nine different countries, from Europe and beyond, the Western Balkans and the Caucasus, including Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Portugal, Albania, Slovakia, Spain, Italy and Georgia. This diverse palette of representation ensured that people from different backgrounds are able to meet each other, deconstruct negative stereotypes and preconceptions, embrace the European values of inclusivity, solidarity, tolerance and diversity while sharing their understanding about sustainable and digital living and working and active citizenship. Turning to more details about the specific activities, the “Empowering the Next Generation of Young Entrepreneurs” youth exchange was constructed based on the following objectives: 1.Collaborate with young people to design a programme for entrepreneurial skill-development 2.Empower young people entrepreneurial attitudes, skills and knowledge for a more positive and forward-looking approach to life 3.Support the internalisation of European values among the participants through the interaction with multiple cultures In parallel, the “Mastering the Art of Entrepreneurship: From Idea to Launch” training course focused its activities on three objectives: 1. Establish effective methods for entrepreneurial education for young people 2. Interlink international experiences in youth work and entrepreneurial education 3. Increase the capacities of the sending youth organisations in supporting the development of green and digital business ideas among the youth they are working with Entrepreneurial education does so much more than prepare individuals to start their own businesses. It creates an attitude shift in individuals, who afterwards become more in charge of their lives, are more keen on taking the initiative and becoming active citizens, are more positive about their future, and therefore their mental health also benefits from it.
