The project focused on mental health and the impact of nature and community on mental health. The project's main objective was to provide quality learning opportunities for 14-18 year olds through non-formal learning, where they can get to know themselves better and learn activities and practices they can apply to their everyday lives to maintain their mental health. The youth exchange program included outdoor activities and reflected on the impact of time spent outdoors on individuals. In addition, there was a strong emphasis on community, leaning on each other, supporting each other, asking for help, active listening, managing emotions, and coping with anxiety. Our goals also included creating a physically and emotionally safe environment in which young people's learning could take place smoothly. Where they can rely on and support each other, their group leaders, and the psychologist. To experience all this in an intercultural environment, where they develop their English language skills, and become more confident in sharing their ideas and expressing their opinions. In addition, we also aimed to give young people who are starting their careers or are still students the opportunity to try out a youth exchange as an organizer or group leader with our support.
