Today's young people face an increasing number of challenges, while their environment is constantly changing. Youth workers are finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with new trends and challenges when it comes to reaching their target groups, engaging young people, involving them and supporting them in the best possible way. In the first year of accreditation, we have implemented a mobility of youth workers: the training course Advertising the Change was created to provide tools for professionals working with young people to better define their values and to communicate them in different ways to their target groups in a way that is modern, engages and supports them. The training was aimed at youth workers, teachers, trainers and educators who were open to broaden their horizons on global issues, to deepen their understanding of the values they and their organisations represent, and to learn new methods and tools to better promote their own and their organisations' topics and messages. Through a variety of non-formal methods, participants worked together in international teams, sharing experiences, exchanging good practices, examining and redefining their own existing values, and learning new methods and knowledge about media and how to communicate their ideas. They also developed a range of individual and peer competences through individual and group work. The main objectives of the project were therefore: Participants acquire new attitudes and perspectives on their own and their organisation's values, and develop an openness to different value systems Professionals working with young people to acquire new tools and methods to better address their target groups and bring their messages closer to young people Participants to step out of their comfort zone and try out media tools that they are not yet familiar with and use, but which are part of everyday life for young people Learn how they can create a collaborative project with a sense of value, while working with people from different backgrounds, knowledge and experience.
