The project was designed to encourage young people to become actively involved in green policy making. The Youth Exchange aimed to deconstruct the complex policy-making process and identify how young people can effectively make proposals. The project firstly helped participants to identify environmental threats, understand existing green policies, identify good local practices and then identify different EU-level case studies. Through the project we wanted to achieve the following: Help young people to improve their political awareness To motivate them to become actively involved in political decision-making at local, national and international level Increase the spread of ideas among different groups of EU peers interested in raising environmental awareness We also aimed to increase young people's self-esteem and personal development through active participation in local and international activities.
