Objectives

The aim of our project was to highlight the importance of mental and physical health. The lifestyle of young people has undergone huge changes, especially due to the rapid technical development of the modern world. Everyday things like sitting in front of the computer, unhealthy diet, mental problems all contribute to health problems in young people. That is why we consider it essential to promote both mental and physical health. The idea of regular exercise is already widespread in European society, but not enough attention is paid to maintaining mental health. Therefore, we wanted to introduce a new way of thinking to our participants by connecting the concepts of mental and physical health. The two are only worth something together, even if we are physically fit, for example, if we are struggling with serious mental problems. During the program, we used meditation workshops and sports exercises, proven methods of psychologists and personal consultants, as well as techniques and methods learned during previous Erasmus projects. We would like everyone to find their own peace of mind, abstracted from the noise of the world. We believe that the mental health of young people supports them in their work and studies. Regular physical activity is also extremely important for the physical and mental well-being of young people. Exercise not only supports the proper development of the body, but also has a beneficial effect on mental health. Regular exercise reduces stress, improves mood, and helps you sleep better. In addition, sports and exercise also provide social experiences, with which young people develop their social skills. Therefore, as much as the weather allowed, we tried to include various sports workshops in our exchange program, and with these to show that it is indeed possible to combine the pleasant with the useful. Promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people is not only an individual, but also a social responsibility. Schools, health professionals, parents and community leaders all play an important role in providing adequate support to young people in developing healthy lifestyles. The participants of our project will pass on this knowledge in their own communities. The title of our project is an abbreviation of an English phrase, "Health Enriches And Lightens THinking", which means: Health enriches and lightens thinking. This also expresses the importance of mental and physical health, on which we built our project. Last, but not least, the strengthening of the partner network was also our main goal, which will also result in successful projects in the future. The project attracted several young people who were interested in Erasmus Plus, and we have already discussed future collaborations with several of them.
