In the 2022 application round Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary (hereinafter: KRE) applied with one partner: Chiang Mai University, Thailand (hereinafter: CMU) with a 36-month project. The project focused only on staff mobility (STA) (2 teachers/country) in the field of Mental Health/Psychology, in order to strengthen the cooperation through two-way knowledge transfer and to provide a ground for comparing curricula, building joint courses and preparing teaching materials for these courses. The long-term aim, along the institutional strategy of the two HEIs, has been to create a joint study program in the area of Mental Health. At KRE, currently the Mental Health Program is only a postgraduate program, not an MSc or MA, which would be more attractive to prospective students. At the same time, CMU has a Master of Science in Mental Health, which is an international program. It has been explored how a joint MSc or a double degree could be built using the available academic resources and connections of the two HEIs.
