By implementing the project, KJU wanted to increase internationalisation of our academic programmes and our operations, to support the professional and personal development of our students and staff, and to create academic links between KJU and international universities that enable us and our partners to learn from good practices. By bringing international professors and students from different cultural backgrounds to our classrooms, and by providing our professors and staff with opportunities to teach abroad or to acquire training practice in an intercultural setting, we aimed to improve the quality of education at KJU and to offer international learning experiences to our entire student body, not only to those who could personally undertake a mobility. Through the project, KJU aimed to develop the mobility participants’ competences in their field and to increase their knowledge and sensitivity related to global problems. Further objectives of the project were to create spin-off effects like curriculum development, development of joint courses or modules, academic networks or research collaboration.
