Objectives

The 2022 project of the University of Szeged aimed to continue and expand on the results of the Faculty of Agriculture's 2019 KA171 project. The submitted application aimed to continue the existing Moroccan and Tunisian collaborations in Region 3 – South Mediterranean, involve Algeria, broaden existing relationships with four Algerian higher education institutions, and explore new areas of educational and research collaboration. In addition, one Israeli partner institution also participated in the implementation of the project. The implementation of the project was made particularly relevant by the increasingly severe desertification process in Europe, for which the good practices applied to address it provided an excellent field of study in all countries of the Mediterranean region. Within the framework of the project, the University of Szeged received funding for all 82 planned mobility activities, 18 incoming students, and 32 incoming and outgoing teachers/staff members. The Faculty of Agriculture was able to use the entire organizational cost of the project to organize faculty events within the project (ERASMUS week, including the Wellman conference).
