Background

Parallel Worlds (HU), Terrible Creations (CRO) and Nausika (PL) came together to create the 11th edition of the Central Eastern European live-action role-play convention, PoRtaL in 2023. By taking on the organisation of the gathering of this large community, we aimed to give a specific focus to the convention and turn our attention towards the role and contributions of larp in the adult education sector. With this project, reaching beyond the convention itself and including several programme elements and tangible open-source results, we aimed to widen, develop, engage and strengthen the PoRtaL community by bringing them together on a more regular basis - through online platforms as well and to establish larp as a tool and methodology for adult education.
