First of all, we wanted to achieve that we protect our environment and get to know the plants that live in it and be able to use them in everyday life. For the teachers, acquiring new knowledge in the field of methodology, because garden pedagogy was a completely new field for everyone, but it is very important that both the children and our immediate surroundings know more about environmental sustainability. Medicinal plants play an important role in our lives, in the prevention and treatment of diseases. We would like to acquire new knowledge, learn new methodology and use this in the long term to pass it on to children and teachers. We have deemed it important for everyone to get to know the opportunities that the small plants of the forests and fields in our environment offer us, let us not let them be lost, but learn to utilize them. In contrast to the side effects of medicines, these plants offer a natural way to preserve our health. In our opinion, every person should know this. With the help of this project, we gave the children a wonderful experience, the teachers were able to learn many new things and we experienced the possibilities inherent in each other's climatic conditions in plant care.
We consider it very important to educate about environmental sustainability even in kindergarten. we wanted to develop and have more knowledge in this area. We looked for institutions that think similarly. It was also important to have an institution among us that already has such experience and knowledge, so that we can learn from them, and they can expand their existing experience. We deal with disadvantaged children and we would like them to have more knowledge about medicinal plants, so we included the parents in the project, as well as the elderly living in the settlement, as they also have a lot of knowledge. We would like the teachers' methodological culture to develop, to learn new methods and to use a little experiential pedagogic method in the sessions, which the children enjoy more, so that the acquired knowledge will remain more permanent and they will be able to make better use of it in the future. All participating institutions were open to imparting their knowledge to local schools and kindergartens as well. Our goal was to acquire and pass on a wide range of knowledge in the design and utilization of Medicinal Plant Gardens.
