Objectives

To address urgent skills needs and challenges of the CCS, the participating organisations - MTÜ, Gabriel Caruana Foundation and ITEM Foundation - jointly committed to: 1. Empower the cultural workforce to foster change in the CCS, 2. Adapt VET to labor market needs, 3. Strengthen cooperation among European CCS organisations. We achieved these goals proportionate to the scale of the project. Additionally, thanks to Erasmus+ support, the project significantly contributed to the capacity building of the participating organisations. This included upskilling project staff, upgrading training services, and enhancing outreach to CCS professionals and VET stakeholders.

Background

Our application for the Erasmus+ project stemmed from a critical need to address issues and skills gaps within the Cultural and Creative Sectors (CCS) across Hungary, Estonia and Malta. The CCS often lacks adequate vocational education and training (VET) opportunities, leading to a mismatch between sectoral needs and available skills. Furthermore, the sector faces fragile working conditions and structural challenges, resulting in a brain drain of talented professionals. The FRESH FABRIK partnership was established to tackle these challenges head-on by pooling resources and expertise from Hungary, Estonia and Malta.
