Mary Immaculate College (MIC) operates the Erasmus+ Programme KA131 in accordance with EU regulations as administered by the Higher Education Authority. The funding received under Erasmus+ KA131 2022 has significantly contributed to internationalisation of MIC and our efforts to foster a spirit of cultural openess and inclusion amongst students and staff of the College through international exchanges and collaborationas. Implementation of the project contributes to achieving our goals set out in the 'Global Outlook' pillar of MIC Strategic Plan and the ambition to encourage 'a global outlook in all that the College does.' Through implementation of this particular KA131 2022 project, we aimed to: - provide enriching learning experiences in diverse cultural contexts, helping students to appreciate diverse perspectives, become more independent and develop their language and intercultural competences; - facilitate international staff exchanges to support professional development of staff, collaborative research and to better align our procedures so that we can best help students to benefit as much as possible from their international learning experiences; - build stronger relationships with our partners universities; - deliver on Erasmus+ objectives and utilise the new types of mobilities introduced in the 2021-27 Programme; - deliver our first Blended Intensive Programme; - assist academic staff in developing co-teaching modules with colleagues from partner universities abroad; - deliver and facilitate students and staff to take-part in blended short-term programmes, which in this round focused on Erasmus+ priorities such as inclusion and diversity, participation in democratic life, common values and civic engagement and digitalisation.
