The project aimed to broaden opportunities for students and staff to study, train, and teach abroad, with a particular focus on inclusion and diversity. The intention was to ensure that people from disadvantaged backgrounds, women in science and technology, and ethnic minorities could benefit from international experiences that might otherwise be out of reach. The project also sought to build sustainable academic and cultural partnerships. Key objectives included enhancing the quality and relevance of teaching, strengthening research capacity, and embedding global citizenship and civic engagement into higher education strategies. Another goal was to create pathways for cooperation in areas such as science, health, music and engineering while promoting equality, digital transformation and sustainability. Through these measures, the project aimed to improve the overall quality of higher education, expand opportunities for mobility, support staff and student development, and contribute to dialogue on global challenges such as climate change, wellbeing and intercultural understanding.
