Objectives

The University of Iceland has continued to implement and respect in full the principles of non-discrimination, transparency and inclusion ensuring equal and equitable access to opportunities to current and prospective participants from all backgrounds, paying particular attention to the inclusion of those with fewer opportunities. The commitment to all aspects of the ECHE and of the Erasmus+ programme remains one of the cornerstones for the implementation of the 2022 project. With the implementation of the project the University hoped to recover pre-pandemic numbers for international participation, moving toward the full implementation of the new programme. The strong emphasis on the project includes ensuring widespread trust based on quality, equality and sustainability, encouraging peer learning and to break down barriers taking the initiative in responding to societal changes and challenges. By increasing mobility support during the project period continuing to promote the educational, professional, and personal development of students and staff the University Iceland hoped to raise awareness to the opportunities available and to highlight intercultural participation and experience for all, at home and abroad.
