With the Digital & Sustainable Delivery Expert project, we aimed to achieve the following objectives: 1) acquisition and enhancement of the technical and professional skills of 19 learners; 2) upgrading of skills through a professional training course for 8 school staff members on digital resources and technologies to support teaching; 3) valorisation of new digital skills and behaviour inspired by environmental sustainability; 4) valorisation and enhancement of the language skills of all participants, with particular reference to English and other European Union languages.
The history of the Duca di Buonvicino Institute began in 1954 when the I.P.A. S 'Ippolito Cavalcanti', the first school in the city specifically intended to train personnel for tourist and hotel activities. A large part of the school population is made up of students with particular conditions of economic, cultural and social disadvantage. The Institute has students with special educational needs, from severe to less severe, who are looked after by support teachers, others with economic or social disadvantages, such as some foreign students. With the Digital & Sustainable Delivery Expert project, we wanted to include the participants in a context able to propose paths to combat school drop-out, through an approach geared to enhancing digital skills, green skills and multilingualism; in particular, by revolving the learners' activities around the figure of the Food Deliver Manager, a role that is increasingly central within the Neapolitan working world and beyond.
