The objective of this project was to develop European pathways for transversal skills, orientation and language skills. The primary objective of the School is, in fact, to provide students with the skills necessary to be able to orient themselves in their educational, study and professional choices as well as to combat school dropout which is clearly increasing due to the pandemic crisis. In fact, in past years, students at risk of school drop-out have been involved in exchange projects and in Erasmus+ projects in general and it has been noted how decisive the impact of this type of experience can be on them. The challenges that the student has to face every day during a more or less long period of mobility abroad represent a unique opportunity to develop his capacity for resilience but at the same time his self-esteem and self-confidence; the mobility experience abroad becomes an opportunity for redemption and renewed interest in one's training and personal development path, as well as cultural and linguistic immersion.
The "EU mobility for Pantini-Pudente students skilling" project was part of a strategy of our School aimed at building a European Learning Area for both students and teachers within which to intensify international mobility and cooperation with European countries and strengthen the role of the School as an educating community, as a place for formal and informal learning, for the development of full active European citizenship and for a holistic approach to personal development. At the same time it is necessary to carry out training processes aimed at strengthening linguistic skills and soft skills, such as the ability to adapt, problem solving, team working, autonomy, communication skills, which together with the predisposition for mobility within Europe , represent a fundamental requirement in the Labour market scenario and in the formation of a European identity and citizenship. Pupil mobilities represent the privileged non-formal learning environments for the development of transversal and basic skills and represent opportunities for real orientation in the choice of higher studies or in the transition from school to the Labour Market.
