The Needs Analysis identified the project objectives as follows: Improve the quality of the relationship between schools and businesses in order to implement actions consistent with the labour market and current professional needs. Enhance the training of teachers and staff with experiences aimed at improving their administrative, management, project, digital and language skills. Enhance language skills, improving foreign language learning, mainly English. Increase the quality of training standards, following new technological trends and system innovations acquired internationally by the companies themselves; Increasing the employment rate of students and new graduates by strengthening linguistic, digital, cultural, transversal and technical-professional skills. Raising the inclusion levels of disadvantaged learners (H, BES, DSA) through the use of teaching methodologies and a focus on the needs of individuals in an inclusive context. Educating in dialogue, respect for diversity and intercultural confrontation; Raising awareness of the idea of sustainability, circular economy and green economy.
I.T.S Franchetti Salviani is located in Città di Castello, in the middle of Tiber Valley, an area with a high degree of rural decentralisation and a productive context rich in small businesses with an industrial vocation (graphics, textiles, mechanics). The local network, in which a strong tradition of furniture craftsmanship persists, has enhanced practices and knowledge in various sectors, and has become part of European contexts. This provides a wide catchment area for the I.T.S., with students from both urban areas and neighbouring regions. The I.T.S. trains technicians and professionals with a solid theoretical background and also practical skills in each of the 7 institute's branches: Electronics and Electrotechnics, Mechanics and Mechatronics, Informatics and Telecommunications, Chemistry and Environmental Biotechnology, Administration, Finance and Marketing; Construction, Environment and Territory, TechnoCat Geometry, Graphics and Communication. The Institute hosts approximately 1000 students (30% females - 70% males). There are 98 teachers and 35 staff. All the components were involved in the Erasmus+ survey, the results of which made it possible to define the needs analysis that we will describe in the next section.
