The primary objective of this project was to enhance key and transversal competences, in particular language, digital, sustainability and job-specific skills of the students. Indeed, it is important for VET students to appreciate the usefulness and expendability of the mobility experience and the related work placement in their own socio-economic context, both at national and European level. It was therefore necessary to frame the learners' experience abroad in sectors identified as relevant (automotive, agri-food) from the point of view of the reference MdL, although deeply marked by the acquisition of key and transversal skills spendable in any professional sector. The learners strengthened: the knowledge, linguistic, technical and digital, necessary for a professional future in the industrial districts identified; the awareness of the expendability of the personal and professional resources in their possession for a stable and dignified job insertion in the European MdL; the ability to transmit among peers the objectives and results of their experience, increasing the attractiveness of the VET sector and of the Erasmus+ opportunities.
Algeri Marino in Casoli is an Institute of Secondary School Education with three courses of study; it deals with initial vocational education pathways with issuance of technical, vocational and high school diploma. Since 2003, the Scientific High School with an adapted course of programs of national coordinated experimentation of PNI has been established, and since 2010, the school has become an "Institute of Higher Education." The institute represents a beacon of the education and gathering of young people in the Sangro-Aventino area. Algeri Marino students need effective tools to deal with contemporary dynamics in the labour market in order to acquire a mindset as expendable as possible in the work context as well as soft skills, language and in STEM disciplines. The school has aimed to address the need to enhance an education that is in step with the globalization of the labour market, one that can combine theory and practice, using it in an international perspective and in the context of leading economic sectors both at the territorial/regional, national and European levels, such as automotive and agribusiness.
