The "Garibaldi-Da Vinci" Institute, through the implementation of this project, aimed to achieve three overarching objectives: 1) Foster the acquisition of technical skills capable of innovating the agricultural and CAT sectors in a GREEN and DIGITAL perspective (with reference to profiles in the Regional Qualifications Repertoire ER). 2) Enhance the intercultural, linguistic, and cross-cutting competencies of learners, increasing their employability and the capacity to internationalize the agricultural and CAT sectors. 3) Support school inclusion, educational success, employment, personal growth, and self-esteem of learners with fewer opportunities and special educational needs (BES). In general, the overarching goal was to increase the motivation for further studies among all participants, thereby reducing school dropout rates to enhance prospects in the job market. The broader ongoing objective was to continue internationalizing the institute.
The school institute promoted this mobility project within a global economic and social context where green and digital transition must be at the forefront of the job market. Therefore, there was a need for the agricultural sector (AAA) and the construction sector (CAT) to innovate in order to acquire technical skills in green and technological areas, aimed at bridging the skill mismatch between outgoing skills and those demanded by the job market. The project also fit into a framework where, following the COVID-19 pandemic, the implementation of PCTOs (Paths for Transversal Skills and Orientation) was slowed down, leading to a decrease in employment for graduates at the 24-month mark. Specifically, the Erasmus mobilities were promoted within a working context of agrarian companies in the Cesena area, which are highly international. Therefore, the personnel sought after with greater chances of employment have strong language skills and previous experiences abroad.
