To start a qualified educational action that allows the development of new partnerships and innovative organizational and management models in a school with an increasingly internationalized curriculum. The school aims to enhance both national and European identity by developing a curriculum inspired by EU values, and also promoting internationalization and strengthening Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and STEAM. It is therefore necessary to provide the Headmaster, the Administrative Manager, the Staff, and the Erasmus Commission with: 1) Competencies to develop new European projects, including through eTwinning. 2) Effective tools to enable the school to promote innovative approaches that enhance the European and international dimension while respecting its identity. 3) Opportunities for dialogue to overcome the limits caused by insularity and the lack of educational offers, which make it rare to meet other European and international realities. New pathways have been identified dealing with the most current trends in school organization, providing an overview of the opportunities offered by eTwinning, and helping redesign more creative and inclusive school contexts for greater internationalization of the curriculum.
The "F. Scaduto" Classical High School is divided into three branches: Classical High School, Human Sciences High School, and Linguistic High School. The educational program is modeled to train European citizens who are able to use multiple languages, integrating into a multicultural society, and being open to geographical mobility. The new Linguistic branch (with four sections where students study English, French, German, and Spanish) was created to meet the educational needs of students who recognize the value of foreign language proficiency in an international mobility perspective. Moreover this year, a new STEAM branch has been introduced in the Classical High School, which includes the implementation of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) modules and the use of innovative methodologies. Consequently, there is a growing need to: 1) internationalize the school, 2) promote the knowledge of new methodologies among STEAM teachers, and 3) implement CLIL modules in the three branches, especially in the Linguistic High School. Our students, ranging from 14 to 19 years old, come from different socio-cultural and economic backgrounds. Our high school is located within the metropolitan area of Palermo and its surrounding.
