There were three objectives that we wanted to achieve by implementing the project: 1. To integrate new ICT in IC OMODEO BEETHOVEN’s dynamics, enhancing our teachers’ knowledge and skills to adapt our pedagogical methods to the new needs of students and the educational community; 2. Avoiding, protecting and resolving the most frequent threats and risks in digital activity, detecting risks on the Internet as well as existing danger and warning signs, and protecting privacy; 3. to learn about the existence, typology, operation and needs covered by European programs, understood as a collaborative work tool.
The Omodeo-Beethoven Institute is structured around two municipalities: Scisciano and San Vitaliano. In both municipalities there are families of families of African, Romanian, Polish and Ukrainian origin. The cohabitation of social groups of different origins could have offered an opportunity for confrontation, enrichment and growth for the whole population, but there is still a feeling of opposition between the parties that hinders the development of the territory. In a varied but tendency to privatise socio-economic context, especially in San Vitaliano, the school represents an important point of cultural aggregation, inclusion and integration, as well as a social flywheel capable of contributing to the cultural, social and economic growth of both villages. In fact, the cases of school drop-out are constantly under control thanks to the valuable contribution of the PTOF (Three-Year Training Offer Plan). This KA122SCH mobility project has been for us, not only a chance to improve our Digital Skills and the professionalization of our team but also to start an international network through new Erasmus projects.
