The implementation of the Project aimed to achieve the following objectives: - Improve teachers' oral language skills in foreign languages. -Provide an opportunity for linguistic "refreshment" for foreign language teachers. -Offer the opportunity to acquire skills in activating CLIL pathways. -Observe the work of colleagues abroad, build relationships, exchange experiences, as well as acquire new teaching and assessment strategies. -Create ICT-based learning environments, familiarize with web 3.0 tools, and apply them in teaching practice. -Disseminate good practices, and acquire and develop a network of teachers from different nationalities for future cooperation. - Transfer and strengthen the identity values on which European citizenship is based and influence school culture by promoting constant actions towards Europe, education, and training to prevent school dropout and dispersion. Stimulate students' interest through the use of active and cooperative methodologies based on ICT and CLIL methodology to actively engage them during lessons, making them protagonists of their learning process

Background

The project stems from the need to promote and develop the internationalization of our school by improving the professionalism of our teachers and administrative staff. Our school is a state secondary school, consisting of four different locations, located in an inland area of Sicily characterized by a high unemployment rate and social marginalization, poor in stimuli and cultural initiatives and a lack in recreational centres. The institute represents one of the few environments of socialization and aims not only to promote the education and cultural growth of young people but also to favour their social aggregation and raise the level of motivation to learn. The identification of these needs has generated the need to implement activities to respond to the new methodological challenges and trigger a process of continuous professionalization of teachers, thus improving the quality of the educational process and stimulating a reflection on innovation in a EU perspective to: Implement strategies, resources and models of didactic interaction Apply innovative teaching methods and digital tools Maintain a high level of motivation Stimulate the comparison and sharing of good practices
