Objectives

With the project "Opening the doors to new skills," we wanted to promote an internationalization discourse at our Institute, promoting multicultural and inclusive mobility in format and innovative in content. In particular, the three objectives were the following: - To promote the knowledge of the common heritage and European diversity of 25 students through a period of learning in a multicultural environment - To value inclusive schooling and uniqueness by encouraging the participation of students with fewer opportunities - To acquire new skills for 8 members of the school staff in the field of inclusive and digital educational systems in order to promote innovative teaching methodologies

Background

The IIS Concetto Marchesi was founded in 1971 in Padua. The study programs include: Traditional Classical High School and Classical-Scientific High School Linguistic High School Human Sciences High School with an Economic-Social Option Musical High School, the only closed-access program with an admission exam The school offers CLIL methodology experimentation for the teaching of a non-linguistic discipline, as well as many extracurricular opportunities to enhance what is learned at school. In the context of internationalization, we offer the opportunity to participate in European projects, exchanges, study trips, an abroad year, and language certification preparation courses. There are also many projects and PCTO activities carried out in the three-year period. With the project "Opening the doors to new skills," we wanted to project our High School towards an increasingly international, inclusive, and open-to-all dimension in order to make the school path of all our students suitable to their educational, social, and cultural needs.
