Objectives

Our primary objectives in implementing the project were twofold. Firstly, we aimed to enhance and fortify the key European competences of our learners, teachers, and staff, fostering a broader network that aligns with our commitment to international cooperation. Secondly, we looked to establish a robust project team capable of seamlessly translating project ideas into successful proposals. These objectives reflected our commitment to educational advancement, global collaboration, and organizational development.

Background

Our school in Portici, near Naples, faces challenges as urban development transforms it into a "dormitory town," eroding cultural identity. To oppose this, we aim to reconnect students through an international cooperation project. The town struggles with issues like unemployment, crime, pollution, and social degradation, leading the school to play a crucial role through cultural and educational initiatives. Educationally, there are shortcomings, especially in teaching a single foreign language. We plan to adopt the CLIL strategy, integrating content and language learning in various subjects to align with global standards. Acknowledging technology's importance, we aim to incorporate it into a new learning environment. Emphasizing the need for a dedicated project team, we strive to improve project management skills to execute Erasmus Plus projects effectively. Modernizing administrative staff competence is a focus to align with European standards and facilitate cooperative actions for quality education development. The goal is to provide the school with a European added value, ensuring competitiveness and elevating overall education quality.
