Objective 1: Promote the inclusion and educational success of migrant students and families through better management and enhancement of multiculturalism in classrooms, reducing stereotypes and prejudices. This objective aimed to promote mutual understanding and respect among students of different backgrounds, thus facilitating the integration of migrant students and their families into the school and social fabric. Objective 2: Plan and manage a 100% sustainable school by comparing it with European educational systems and creating a cross-sectional and vertical curriculum for sustainability education. The goal is to educate aware citizens capable of adopting a sustainable lifestyle. Objective 3: Develop stronger middle leadership management skills in teachers, to make strategic and management processes more efficient in the perspective of continuous improvement of the educational offer's quality. Recognizing the importance of effective leadership for the success of any educational project, we aimed to enhance the middle management skills of our teachers, making them more capable of managing strategic and operational processes within the school.
Carmine Comprehensive Institute, located in Viterbo, is committed to the education of students aged 3 to 13, representing a microcosm of the socioeconomic and cultural diversity present in our community. The situation of the school's student population is characterized by great heterogeneity, with a significant number of foreign students, and students coming from strongly deprived cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, supported by social services. This situation represents both a challenge and an opportunity for our institution. There arises the need to address and integrate these diversities through inclusive pedagogical approaches and targeted educational projects. It is in this context that our inclusion pathways, aimed at promoting education for sustainability and multiculturalism, find their justification and goal. Such initiatives are in line with the focus of the HORIZON project, reflecting the institute's commitment to creating a learning environment that not only reflects but also values the plurality of experiences and perspectives of our students.
