Objectives

UPO pursues excellence and innovation in research and teaching, placing students at the center of its initiatives and stimulating the contagion of ideas and knowledge, interdisciplinarity and interculturality with a strong focus on the area of Internationalization. The adhesion of the University of Eastern Piedmont to the Erasmus+ programme, with particular attention to the Call KA131, is still a big part of the mission of the University's 2019-2024 Strategic Plan, which identifies among its strategic objectives innovation and internationalisation of teaching. In order to achieve his fundamental aim, the University keeps monitoring the MUR 2021-2023 Three-Year Programming project entitled “UPO for the Next Generation: international, digitized, innovative.” This project monitored two objectives: the indicator related to the increase in the number of teachings offered in foreign languages and the indicator related to the increase in the number of Visiting Professors. The first objective, which continues to grow, is one of the factors in increasing incoming student mobility, while the second fosters an increase in interest in carrying out teaching activities in international mobility abroad and encourages the drafting of new international agreements. The adhesion to Call KA131 has become even more strategic in order to increase mobilities, the number of incoming international students, the development of international teaching through the increase in incoming Visiting Professors and in the number of foreign language lectures. International agreements with partner universities (intra- and extra-EU) are continuously being consolidated and renewed, both in terms of collaborations within Erasmus+ mobilities and additional international teaching agreements.
