Call 2022 was the VI round running the Erasmus Plus Program for Accademia Abadir. While the worst of the pandemic was behind us and people reopened themselves to the social world, our students coherently showed an increasing interest in the Erasmus Program and its opportunities! Strengthening our international dimension, our partnerships and the role in the program, promoting the Erasmus Program, cultural diversity and European citizenship, fostering the Employability of our students were our main purposes. According to scientific research, spending a period abroad increases the attractiveness of candidates in the job market, this is why Accademia Abadir has strongly supported the Erasmus programme and pushed students to spend a period abroad, in a foreign university, to increase their own personal and professional development and promote their employability. At the same time, Accademia Abadir pushed staff and faculty to go to know partner's institutions to strengthen relationships, promote international activities, receive significant boosts and share best practices. The enriching results are reflected in the local context, as well. Talking about the gap between Sicily and the rest of Europe, we are aware how each single little effort counts in terms of positive impact. Our main purpose with this call was incrementing the mobilities numbers in order to allow participants to develop a stronger background in terms of Employability. In fact, the positive impact of the Erasmus in terms of employment situation is clearly known. Sicily reports higher numbers of unemployment and economic migration so if International mobilities positively affects the labour market outcomes of students, the international dimension and the erasmus program become a key factor in Abadir’s mission. Through Erasmus, the Academy strengthens the link between training, research and the world of work. The program becomes a strategic element for the professional training of students, engages the academic staff in innovative cooperation and research projects responding to new employment trends.
