Objectives

Università Iuav di Venezia is strongly oriented towards the theme of the future, security and ecological transaction, proposing itself as a community of professors, students, staff, phds and researchers capable of imagining and constructing new forms of trans-disciplinary design: from urban planning to architecture, product design, arts, fashion, theatre and dealing with both interventions on the environment and everyday objects. In this context the Erasmusplus project involved objectives calibrated to a small Italian university with unique international characteristics for its location in the lagoon city of Venice and in Veneto hinterland, region of the productive North-East. The focus was on mobility for study and traineeship because Iuav always aimed to implement its international strategy by improving the levels of training offered to its students and stakeholders. The organisation of outgoing and incoming mobilities had to bring to Iuav as results, and impact, an intrinsic engine of updating from stimuli and training models to be experimented with the exchanges and from the comparison with academic realities in Programme and Partner Countries. Considering the participants one by one, but at the same time also considering the university community testing different didactic and training projects and assessing the impact of them in the experiences of professional application had to mean refining and compensating the skills of the individual participants and more generally the quality and relevance of Iuav courses. Consequently Iuav aimed to be a quality university for participating in the Modernisation of European Higher Education more inclusive since the project promoted all categories of actors in the academy and through initiatives to encourage gender equality and inclusion in relation to the 2030 Agenda goals
