The University of Palermo, in continuity with the Strategic Plan for Internationalisation and previous Projects, through careful monitoring of inter-institutional agreements, works to increase the number of mobility places, guaranteeing a vast possibility of choice in the educational offer abroad to improve the attractiveness and strengthen the European and international dimension of the training and research fields. A large number of new agreements have been concluded on double degrees (e.g. the one with the Universidad de Vigo, in the area of Languages and Translation for International Relations, active from A.Y. 2024-25) and a new joint degree will soon be available) in order to expand the range of courses on offer abroad. In addition, the University uses the experience of European universities as a driving force to expand the international network, thus favoring an increase in available mobility. To achieve the set objectives, standard mobility is also combined with a virtual component, an experience that has borne fruit during the pandemic years, representing a resource and not a limit. A concrete example of this commitment by the university is the Digital Academy, an online platform for virtual mobility offering online courses, international exchange activities, synchronous and blended teaching, and training for academics.
