Objectives

The academic year 22-23, the year in which ABAVE utilised the funds from the 2022 call, was much more positive than the previous ones, as the pandemic problems were practically completely resolved. The previously lost normality was thus regained. Outgoing mobilities, from the initial 24, were then reduced to 16, following personal relinquishments (we think in this case that the instability of the political situation after the invasion of Ucraine, made outgoing students perceive a greater danger) while incoming mobilities increased again, from 25 to 28. 7 outgoing lecturers and staff and 43 incoming staff and lecturers. Year after year, the requests from incoming lecturers and staff are increasing, partly due to the city's attractions, such as the Biennial of Contemporary Art and the Architecture Biennial, but also due to the prestige that is recognised to this Academy. The Director, Prof. Riccardo Caldura, continues to be very sensitive to internationalisation issues and, upon urgent request of this office, is seriously considering the need to expand the staff, and therefore to add a new employee to Dr. Irene Scarpa, who now deals full time with all the instances concerning the Erasmus project.
