Objectives

After a two-year period to be considered a real watershed, coinciding with Call 2021, with Call 2022 the Saint Louis College of Music resumes Erasmus+ activities at full speed and with considerable increase in number of participants. From the previous edition of the Erasmus+ project to Call 2022, there is an increase from 37 to 46 moving heads, in which SMSs take the lead also thanks to the implementation of BIPs coordinated by foreign partner institutions and short mobilities that begin to be an integral and salient part of the whole project. There is a response to what are horizontal Erasmus priorities in terms of digitalization, involvement in projects focused on the green turn, and inclusion (we count the first female student to be included in the category of “female students enrolled in STEM studies”). Considering the success of the past edition, the implementation of the BIP “European Jazz's Cool” is confirmed for the 2023 edition (https://saintlouis.eu/news/european-jazzs-cool-2023/#:~:text=European%20Jazz's%20Cool%202023%20a,concert%20of%20wide%20international%20respect.), with Saint Louis as the coordinator of a project involving as many as 5 collaborative partner institutions. Growing exponentially, almost surprisingly, is the demand for STAs, which enables the institute to spread its educational offerings and significantly strengthen the impact of its internationalization strategy. The high number of mobilities carried out is addressed both to the consolidation of long-standing partnerships and to the expansion of inter Institutional Agreements, thanks to the proactive, relational and planning skills of young teachers at their first Erasmus+ experiences, of great quality and success. A prestigious multi-session training project takes shape in favor of a young innovative teacher taking part in multiple STTs at RAMA in Aalborg. Saint Louis College of Music is host institution of the prestigious PJP-Pop and Jazz Platform in February 2023, the flagship event of the AEC Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen (https://aec-music.eu/), welcoming more than 200 participants from conservatories across Europe, an initiative that has been a "broad sounding board" for the internationalization of the institution, with tangible impact and results within a few months. Thus, a fully satisfactory Erasmus+ activity plan is structured from both a quantitative and qualitative point of view, which focused on a substantial increase in participants in both the SM and ST categories.
