The Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna (SSSA) is a research university open to the internationalisation of education and research. From the very first years of attendance, our students are strongly encouraged to undertake study and/or traineeship activities abroad. At the same time, the mobility of teaching and administrative staff is encouraged, in order to take inspiration from international best practices. As of 2020, the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna and the Scuola Normale Superiore are involved in the EELISA (European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance), a European University Alliance, which is also funded in the second call until 2027. This new dimension was a further boost to put into practice the basic principles of the new ECHE 2021 2027, concerning inclusiveness, digitalisation, green policies. The SSSA therefore intends to meet the growing demand for mobility from students, trying to initiate mobility for study with the established partners of the European Alliance and to respond to the enormous interest in traineeship mobility to EU and non-EU countries, without giving up the focus on incoming reception and outgoing assistance.
