The University of Milano-Bicocca has confirmed the central importance of internationalization among the institutional aims of the University in line with the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-27 and its Erasmus Policy Statement. The Erasmus + community program is the reference model for the University in the establishment of the following main cornerstones for quality mobility: inclusiveness in participating in student mobility programs without any discrimination; the centrality of the student in the entire process based on teaching and research experience abroad; the full recognition of the activities successfully taken abroad with the consequent registration of educational credits in the career; the offer of support services for both outgoing and incoming students; and the transparency of the information offered on study paths. The University Commission for Internationalization, chaired by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, monitors results and periodically extracts data from the University's internationalization dashboard on student participation in mobility programs. Erasmus represents the context in which students are encouraged to participate in a study and research experience abroad, but also offers an international experience to all students within their programme of study, whether or not they spend time abroad.
