Objectives

UNINT is dedicated to advancing its internationalization process with a focus on cultural integration and knowledge development. To date, the university has facilitated exchanges with over 100 foreign universities, leveraging Erasmus funds, government funds, and its own resources to enable student and staff mobility and promote collaborative research. UNINT's international scope extends beyond Europe, with a particular interest in countries that can enhance its educational offerings. As part of this commitment, the university has embraced the use of up to 20% of KA131 funds for international mobility, allocating them to Morocco, Switzerland, India, and Brazil. The internationalization strategy, aligned with the Erasmus Policy Statement (EPS) and the European Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), focuses on strengthening and expanding international collaborations through its established network of partner universities and research bodies. Student-level objectives of the project included: -Providing international career opportunities through study abroad periods and internships; -Supporting students with fewer opportunities, either through financial top-ups or by offering international experiences at home; -Encouraging students to become global citizens, fostering cultural appreciation, and enabling them to integrate into new social contexts; -Establishing Double Degree agreements to help students develop globally competitive professional profiles and improve employability. Notably, during the 2023/2024 academic year, UNINT signed two Double Degree agreements with European Universities, building on a long-standing Erasmus+ relationship. Institutional-level objectives: -Enhancing efficiency in international cooperation and promoting the digitalization of documents through the Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) initiative; -Fostering environmental awareness, for instance, by promoting green travel options; -Increasing international visibility; -Improving the coordination and dissemination of cooperation activities through the exchange of best practices. Staff-level objectives: -Supporting professional development; -Expanding and strengthening professional networks through in-person exchanges and knowledge sharing; -Enriching staff members' international profiles by incorporating teaching or training abroad experiences into their CVs; -Enhancing networking through the sharing of methodologies related to teaching, research, and student management. Local/regional-level objectives: -Promoting inclusion in higher education; -Encouraging values such as democracy, social inclusion, and community openness through intercultural dialogue; -Fostering appreciation of cultural heritage; -Establishing connections between educational institutions and local businesses. Throughout this project, UNINT aimed to boost student mobility at all levels by encouraging participation in semester-long study abroad programs, international seminars, and language courses. The goal was to create a strong international educational offer, promote faculty involvement in European university associations, coordinate international degree programmes and summer schools, and foster intercultural education. UNINT also focused on increasing internship agreements with European companies and organizations. The university takes an active role in building international partnerships to enhance academic offerings and mobility opportunities. Furthermore, it is committed to promoting gender balance, gathering student feedback, and adapting curricula to meet evolving labor market demands through the work of the Placement Office. Finally, UNINT strives to remove barriers to mobility by implementing strategies for the full recognition of mobility periods.
