For the Università Iuav di Venezia, theThomas Jefferson University and the Universiteti Politeknik I Tiranes, the core of the project focused on educational innovation based on the combination of complementary disciplines to enable their students to face the actual challenges of learning and in their future careers with confidence, curiosity and preparation. The initiative was based on the excellence of the institutions in the fields of architecture and urban planning with regard to climate change, sustainable development and public health. The objectives were to be structured around key elements such as the centrality of territories as a support for the teaching experience and advanced and experimental interdisciplinarity. Through the characteristics of Erasmus plus KA171, the project was designed to advance the capabilities and approaches of universities, both in terms of interdisciplinarity and internationalisation, improving the quality of academic faculty. The staff (professors and administrative) involved worked hard to expand a complementary educational offering that students would not have been able to access at their home universities.
